Chamber’s annual State of Healthcare event to discuss economic impact of hospitals, feature announcement of long-term investment
The Decatur–Morgan County Chamber of Commerce will host its annual State of Healthcare event Thursday, Jan. 25, at 7:30 a.m., at the Doubletree by Hilton Decatur Riverfront. The breakfast, which is open to the public, is presented by Decatur Morgan Hospital, Gold Sponsor Huntsville Hospital Health Systems, and will feature a special announcement about the future of healthcare in our community.
Huntsville Hospital Systems CEO David Spillers and Decatur Morgan CEO Nat Richardson will be the featured speakers during the event. Each will discuss expanding services, the economic impact of healthcare in our community, Decatur Morgan’s annual financial report and many more topical issues in the healthcare industry. The special announcement will highlight growing investments in the Decatur Morgan main campus and what the future holds for the oldest healthcare provider and largest employer in Morgan County.
“Healthcare is a huge quality of life issue, and Morgan County’s ability to offer state-of-the-art services impacts business growth, residential recruitment and economic development,” said John Seymour, president and CEO of the Chamber. “The health of our community depends on the health of our hospitals and providers, and our event will include a road map of growth in that sector over the next several years. We are honored to partner with Huntsville Hospital Health System and Decatur Morgan to tell their story.”
