Chamber set to launch membership campaign
The Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce announced today plans for a membership campaign drive, set for Aug. 25-26 and held at the Turner-Surles Community Center in Decatur.
"The strength of this organization has always been, and will continue to be, our members," said John Seymour, president and CEO of the Chamber. "This Chamber has a long history of successful community, business and workforce development, and we know growing our membership will engage more people in our areas of work and help businesses large and small feel even more invested in the health of our community.
"More members means more opportunity to make Decatur and Morgan County a better place to live and work. In the end, that is the goal of this Chamber," he said.
Volunteer opportunities with the membership campaign are open to everyone, regardless of Chamber membership status. The campaign structure is broken into teams led by business and community leaders serving as captains.
If you or members of your workforce would like to serve as volunteers for the two-day campaign, or you would like to become a member of the premier organization for promoting business and commerce in Decatur and Morgan County, please contact the Chamber at (256) 353-5312.
