Celebrating Women of Character Event in Decatur to Be Held on International Women’s Day

The Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Decatur Parks & Recreation and Decatur Morgan County Tourism, is proud to host Celebrating Women of Character on Saturday, March 8, 2025, in recognition of International Women’s Day. This event will highlight the remarkable contributions women make to our community through enriching workshops, inspirational talks and meaningful connections.

The event will take place at Ingalls Pavilion from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature a keynote address from Alabama Poet Laureate Ashley M. Jones at 12 p.m., a nationally celebrated poet, educator and advocate for the arts. This event is free and open to the public.
