2025 State of Morgan County Forum Focuses on New Developments

The Chamber held the annual State of Morgan County Forum on February 27 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Decatur Riverfront with over 280 attendees. Morgan County Commission Chairman Ray Long, along with District 1 Commissioner Jeff Clark, District 2 Commissioner Randy Vest and District 3 Commissioner Matthew Frost, provided updates on county initiatives over the past year. They also discussed new developments including the $7.1 million Morgan County Event Center under construction in Cotaco, a new agriculture center planned near the event center and a new senior center coming to Falkville.

“Morgan County is in great shape. I would tell people we’re in better shape now than we’ve ever been in my lifetime,” said Morgan County Commission Chairman Ray Long. “We’ve got a great county, and we’re excited about what’s happening and hoping others will be excited too and want to move into Morgan County.”
