Emerging Leaders Tour Career Academies of Decatur

Thank you to Career Academies of Decatur (CAD) for hosting our Emerging Leaders event on October 4 and to the culinary students for providing a wonderful lunch. More than 30 Chamber members were able to tour the new the state-of-the-art addition opened by Decatur City Schools in September. It features a cafetorium, classrooms, an engineering lab, simulators for driving heavy equipment and a fully functional ER and ICU.

Career Academies of Decatur is the school district's career and technical education center that opened in 2018. It offers skilled trade and technical programs and provides an engaging learning environment where students receive hands-on training as they prepare for college and career successes.
