The festival, which began at the height of the Vietnam War in 1967, boasts a prestigious and rich history. Excitement has grown since the announcement of two headline hit-making country recording artists, Frankie Ballard and Easton Corbin. Non-stop live music begins at 1:00 p.m. and also includes performances by Ally Free and The Roads Below. The day’s festivities conclude with the biggest fireworks display ever during the 53 years of this storied North Alabama festival at 9:00 p.m. Admission is free.

Easton Corbin has been gracing stages with his memorable baritone voice and unique blend of traditional and modern country music. Ever since Corbin’s debut single “I Can’t Decide,” his sound has shined with his neotraditional style. The Florida native’s impressive career boasts number-one hits such as “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It.” With seven Top Ten singles to his credit and being named Billboard Magazine’s 2010 “Top New Country Artist,” Corbin performs to sold-out audiences wherever he goes. Corbin’s current single “Marry That Girl” has received great critical acclaim.
The fun begins at 1:00 p.m. with an endless array of family-friendly activities, including arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, a car show, an inflatable kid’s zone, Touch-A-Truck, a hot dog eating contest, and much more! All activities take place in Point Mallard Park in Decatur on the Spirt of America field.
