Chamber announces staff addition
The Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce announced today the addition of Mandy Price as director of workforce development effective Oct. 13.
Most recently, Price served as executive assistant to the president and workforce development coordinator for Contractor Services & Fabrication, Inc., of Decatur. Among her responsibilities with Contractor Services were leadership and crew craft skills development, planning and directing programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of project managers and craft employees, and overseeing jobsite training coordinators and craft instructors in the delivery of National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER)-accredited development.
"Mandy brings to the Chamber a tremendous balance of professional and 'in the field' workforce development experience, working both with skills craft crews and administrative officers," said John Seymour, president and CEO of the Chamber. "She is keenly aware of the workforce needs of our industry partners and has a proven track record of fostering relationships that support the work the Chamber continues to do.
"Her ability to bring different players to the table who want to advance the goals of an innovative workforce and a strong next generation of students will play a vital role in the Chamber's work for years to come," said Seymour.
A graduate of Athens State University in Athens, Ala., with a degree in business administration, Price resides in Hartselle with her family.
