Chamber announces staff retirement
RELEASE 21-09
Crystal Brown, president and CEO of the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce, announced today that Denice Carter, the Chamber’s director of administration and events, will retire effective Tuesday, Nov. 30.
Carter is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Chamber, as well as playing a significant role in the dozens of events the Chamber hosts each year. She is also responsible for the Chamber’s Commodore program – a team of volunteer business leaders in Decatur-Morgan County who serve as Chamber ambassadors in our community – as well as coordinating ribbon cuttings and working with the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
“Denice has been a valued team member on our Chamber staff for more than four years,” said Brown. “Her professionalism coupled with the relationships she has cultivated throughout our community have been an asset and very much appreciated. We will miss Denice and wish her the very best in her new season of retirement.”
Carter joined the Chamber in April 2017, having previously served as office manager and scheduling/new patient coordinator for two dental offices in Decatur, Bryant Dental and Drew Reynolds, DDS.
The Chamber will soon begin reviewing candidates to fill Carter’s position.
