Chamber’s Annual State of Decatur City Schools event Tuesday to include update on new school construction
What: The Decatur–Morgan County Chamber of Commerce's annual State of the School event highlights the partnership between the Chamber and the Decatur City School system – the largest system in Morgan County. Dr. Ed. Nichols, superintendent of the system, will address a wide range of topics impacting our area students, including an update on the future of school
construction and district testing data.
Who: Nichols – who was named superintendent in 2012 – will provide the keynote address. He holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in music education from the University of Tennessee and an education specialist degree and doctorate in education from the University of Alabama.
When: Tuesday, Sept. 30, 7:30 a.m.
