Chamber’s inaugural State of Pre-K address to feature state education officials, local delegation members
What: The State of Pre-K address and breakfast will highlight the status of one of the Decatur–Morgan County Chamber of Commerce's most impacting workforce development initiatives: the expansion of accessible voluntary pre-kindergarten classes in Morgan County. The Chamber's Quality Education Committee is part of Starting Strong, a collaborative, community-wide initiative focused on expanding access to quality Pre-K programs and increasing the availability of kindergarten readiness information for all families throughout Morgan County.
The event is presented by PNC Bank of Decatur.
Who: The program will include presentations from Director Allison Muhlendorf of the Alabama School Readiness Alliance, Assistant Director Jan Hume of the Alabama Department of Children's Affairs, as well as local teachers and members of the Morgan County Legislative
