Member Spotlight

Welcome to the Chamber's Member Spotlight series, where we shine a light on one of our business members. For July and August 2026, we're featuring Handiworks Unlimited, owned by Noah and Jeni Jordan. We sat down with Jeni to learn more about the family-owned business and what makes it unique.

Describe your business, including its history, products or services?

"Established in 2024, Handiworks Unlimited is a locally owned and family-operated handyman business serving North Alabama. We specialize in those projects that tend to get pushed to the bottom of the to-do list or are often overlooked by larger contractors."

"We started Handiworks Unlimited because we believe no project is 'too small' when it matters to the homeowner or business owner. At the end of the day, our goal is simple: show up, perform quality work, treat people honestly, and leave every home or business better than we found it."

How has your business evolved or grown over the last year?

"As word about our business has spread, we've been blessed to see our customer base grow through referrals and repeat business, which is one of the greatest compliments a small business can receive."

"While we love helping homeowners with repairs and improvements, we've also grown our commercial services by partnering with local businesses to provide solutions that help keep their operations running smoothly."

What are you most proud of when it comes to your business?

"More than anything, we're proud of the reputation we're building. As a small, family-owned business, every project is personal to us. We know that when someone invites us into their home or business, they're placing their trust in us, and we don't take that responsibility lightly."

What is one of the advantages your business is seeing right now?

"One of the biggest advantages we're seeing right now is that more people are recognizing the value of hiring a dependable handyman for a wide variety of projects. Homeowners and business owners are busier than ever, and many don't have the time, tools, or expertise to tackle repairs themselves."

"We enjoy meeting that need by providing responsive, reliable service for the smaller projects. We're seeing increased demand from both homeowners and local businesses looking for a trusted partner they can call whenever something needs to be repaired, maintained, or improved."

What’s the best business advice you’ve ever received?

"One of the best pieces of business advice we've ever received is that your reputation is your most valuable asset. Skills can be learned, tools can be replaced, and businesses can grow, but trust has to be earned one customer at a time."

"That advice has shaped how we approach every project. We believe in showing up when we say we will, communicating honestly, standing behind our work, and treating every customer with respect."

What inspired you to start your business?

"For us, Handiworks Unlimited is more than a business—it's our ministry. We believe that serving our customers goes beyond completing repairs or renovations. It's about treating them with kindness, integrity, and respect, showing up when we say we will, and using the talents God has given us to make a positive difference in our community. Every project is an opportunity to serve someone well and live out the values that guide our business and our family."
